He was also awarded the Certificate of Satisfactory Service.Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Adkins and her husband Doug of Wayne, W.Va., and Brenda Ferguson and her husband David with whom he made his home; one son, Michael Thacker and his wife Diana of Wayne; five grandsons, five granddaughters, and five great grandchildren.Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Dock's Creek Cemetery with Brother Larry Carrico officiating. The family will receive visitors after 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughter, Helen Walters Collins of Wayne; four sons, Willie Walters, Marvin Walters, Flem Walters, and Terry Walters, all of Wayne; and a special granddaughter, Darlene Collins Belcher of Wayne, whose help and kindness throughout the years has been so greatly appreciated.
